Bhatkal: Auto-Driver who informed Tahsildar about unauthorized factory attacked

Bhatkal 25 Feb 2018: An auto-driver while returning to his home after finishing his duty on Thursday was attacked by three miscreants with the iron rod at Nooj village of Bhatkal Taluka.
The victim has been identified as Venkatesh Govinda Naik, a resident of Nooj of Bhatkal.
It has been allegedly said that Venkatesh is one among those locals who had pleaded the officials for closure of an unauthorized factory at Nooj. Ired factory officials allegedly attacked Venkatesh as a part of thier revenge.
Earlier in the day on Thursday, Bhatkal Tahsildar had seized a unauthorized factory at Nooj along with police officials after repeated complaints of breathing problems by locals due to the poisonous gas the factory was exhaling.

Venkatash was soon rushed to the Taluka govt hospital by the people and was later taken to Kundapur for further treatment.
