Bhatkal: Attackers of the Auto-driver arrested, Auto-Union organizes press conference to warn against any such cases in future

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 14 May 2017: Auto-Rickshaw union today organized a press conference after the town police wa successful in nabbing the attackers of a auto-driver, an incident after which the auto-union was constantly pressurizing the police department to arrest the attackers and to solve the case. An auto- driver was attacked by a mob few days back in Bhatkal when he was driving the auto-rickshaw on Bunder road and was accompanied by his family. The attackers were since on the run and a police team was formed to arrest the culprits. The attackers were reportedly arrested from a neighboring district today by the police. District president of Auto-Rickshaw drivers union RG Naik of Kumta organized a press conference and thanked the police department on quickly solving the case and successfully arresting the culprit. He also had some words of praise for the town of Bhatkal and slammed media’s role on presenting the town as the hub of terror, while opining against all such media claims. He also added that union has strictly instructed all the auto-drivers to abide by the laws. He further appealed to the people that people who have any complaints about any of the auto-drivers, the can directly approach the union or the police department instead of taking the laws into their hands. He also made it clear that the union will not let go any such actions against auto-drivers in future as well and will protest against it, if any such scenarios arises. He was accompanied at the press conference by Bhatkal Auto-Union president Venkatesh Naik, Suresh Ganapathy Naik, Mastappa Naik, Shridhar Naik, Parmeshwar Naik and others.
