Bhatkal: Anjuman Degree College annual day held

Bhatkal 24 April 2017: The students of Anjuman Degree college and PG centre were all ears to some of the expert talks on the occasion of their 49th annual day celebrations here in Anjuman Campus Anjumanabad Bhatkal.
Dr. Shouqat Azeem of Department of Sociology, Karnataka University Dharwad, who was present at the event as the chief guest, spoke about the importance of a relationship between a student and his teacher and how it helps build an career of students. He also expressed his concern over the ‘Gap’ in the relationships of a Teacher-Student and called it an medium of keeping the interest of both the parties at their respective jobs.
Government Medical officer of Haliyal, Dr, Saleem Ilkal, was also present as the guest of Honor. While addressing the gathering, he advised students for an academic introspection within themselves to get a clear vision of the road ahead in the future.
During the event, several students were awarded and felicitated for their individual achievements across different fields ranging from Sports, Academics, cultural events etc. This included, a felicitation event for the three students who made it to the university blues in sports during the academic year, namely Syed Abdul Badi of Final Year, Naseef Ahmed of Second Year, and Naveed Ahmed of First year who represented Karnataka University. Sharuf Kazia, who bagged third rank in the university exams was also awarded an cash prize from the institution. Several other prizes and awards including those for Semester toppers and 100 marks scorer in subjects were also distributed at the event.
Anjuman President Abdul Raheem Jukaku, College board secretary Javed Armar, Anjuman Additional Secretary Muhammad Ishaq Shabandri, other management members and parents were present in large numbers at the event.
