Bhatkal: Anjuman college student qualifies for State level shot put competition

Bhatkallys News Bureau Bhatkal 13 Sept 2017: Abdul Razzaq s/o Ashfaque Mohtesham, a second PU student of Anjuman pre-university college Bhatkal is all set to represent the college at the State level shot put competition after bagging first place at the District level competition held at Siddapur. Students of over 25 colleges from across the Uttar Kannada district took part in the District level sports meet, and as per the reports Abdul Razzaq bagged the first position after completing a throw of 13.45 mtrs. Speaking to the Bhatkallys.com he claimed that this will be his third participation at the State level sports meet, and the previous two times he qualified for State level was once when he was in high school at Shams English medium school and once during the first pre-university year. With this qualification he will be participating at state level for third consecutive year. He credited Mahesh Naik, Physical trainer at Shams School to be the man behind his success as he has been working with him throughout these years. Anjuman Management, Principal and other staff congratulated Abdul on his success and wished him luck for his state-level assignment.
