Bhatkal: Anant Kumar Hegde felicitated

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 11 Sept 2017: Newly inducted cabinet minister and five time MP of Uttar Kannada District Anant Kumar Hegde was today felicitated by Bhatkal BJP Unit at Nagayaksha Bhavan in presence of several BJP leaders and Taluka party workers. The MP was inducted into cabinet as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship earlier this month by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking on the occasion former State Government Minister Shivanand Naik, congratulated Hegde on becoming the first cabinet minister of the Uttar Kannada District and said PM Modi has inducted him into the cabinet by looking at his track record. He also lauded efforts of central government for developing Karnataka and said the party is committed in developing the state and that there are a lot of developmental work that is to be done in the state. Anant Kumar Hegde while addressing the party workers spoke about his political journey in length and how he has successfully coped up with lows of his journey, he also remembered how Chitranjan had played a role in making him contest his first elections. He further credited his success to the party leadership who stood by him in his career’s low at all times. He then Said “I have always worked and thought differently, and this will not change even when I will be working as a cabinet minister, and what people think will never bother me”. He added, “I am feeling afresh and energetic than ever after being inducted into central cabinet by PM Modi”. Speaking about his new role he said, he has been given the new role with a vision of promoting and developing ‘Young India’ and that he will give his best to his new position in the cabinet. MR Naik, also addressed and had few words of praise for the new Minister and wished him good luck for his tenure as the cabinet minister. BJP District president KJ Naik, former MLA JD Naik, MG Naik, Harishchandra Kamat, Umesh Naik, Parmeshwar Devadiga, Venkatraman Kolki, BJP Bhatkal president Rajesh Naik were among others present on the Diaz during the event.
