Bhatkal: AITM's signature event Nebulus '18 kicks off

Bhatkal 23 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management (AITM) on Monday organized it's signature event Nebulus '18 at it campus here at Anjumanabad. Mazhar Javeed, Chief Engineer Communication and Buildings Govt. of Karnataka along with Dr. KE Prakash former registrar VTU Belagavi, Dean Academics, Shri Devi Institute of Technology, Mangaluru were present at the event as chief guest and guest of honor respectively, while Mohsin Shabandri, Anjuman Executive member and AITM college board member presided over the event. Addressing the students, Mazhar Javeed gave insight about his job and how the Government job and projects of PWD are carried out, he also urged the students to take government jobs after their completion of Engineering. He also advised students to live healthy lifestyle and to be fit. Dr. KE Prakash, in his address spoke about how the students should be technologically advanced in the fast moving world where there is competition everywhere. He further expressed his happiness over the kind of people who are managing the organization and the kind of ideas and vision they share to improve the standard of education in the region. In his presidential address, Mohsin Shabandri remarked how the education system in the country needs to be reformed in order to prepare the students to take on the global challenges while also advising the teaching faculty to arrange special sessions for the students and discuss modern technologies and ideas, and not just teach them the university syllabus, he further said the Indian Education System is lagging behind from today and only such innovative ideas by the teachers can minimise that gap. AITM Principal Mushtaq Ahmed Bhavikatti, presented welcome address while students cultural secretary Ruaif presented vote of thanks followed by national anthem. Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen General Secretary Ismail Siddique, Additional GS Ishaque Shabandri, AITM College Secretary Abubaker Kashimji and others were present during the inaugural event. The inaugural event was followed by several events and competition between the participating teams, the event will conclude on Tuesday April 23 with several other competitions lined up for the final day.
