Bhatkal: 64.58% voters' turnout reported in Jali Patan Panchayath Elections

Bhatkal: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A turnout of 64.58% of voters was recorded at the Jali Patan Panchayath Elections, held on Monday here in Bhatkal. The elections were held on 13 of the wards of the Panchayath between 7 am to 5 pm. According to the data, there are 10,189 registered voters in the 13 wards that underwent polls today, of which 5110 voters are men and 5079 are women. 6580 voters turned out and polled their votes at the voting centers. Government Higher Primary School in Jali recorded highest votes where 80.98% voters turned out to cast their votes. Government Higher Primary School polled the least votes with only 37.54% turnout. The Jali Patan Panchayath consist of 20 wards. Seven candidates were elected unanimously while 13 wards went for polling. The counting of votes is scheduled to take place on December 30, 2021 and the results will subsequently announced on the same day.
