Bhatkal: 172 units of blood collected at Shaheen Maghdoom's blood donation camp

Bhatkallys News Service/ Mohammed Ismail Bhatkal 14 Nov 2017: An outstanding 172 units of blood were donated today at the blood donation camp organized by Shaheen Maghdoon Sport Centre in joint venture with Blood Helpline Mangaluru and in association with Red Cross Society Mangaluru and Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation (BMYF) at Fathima Ali hall here on Tuesday morning. Speaking to the Mediapersons here, Mubasshir Hallare said, “Earlier too, blood donation camps have been organized in Bhatkal by BMYF but the blood was either sent to Kundapur or Manipal. The blood received in this camp will be sent to Mangaluru and will be delivered to Blood Helpline Mangaluru, making it easier for the people of Bhatkal and nearby places to get easy access to the required  blood in Mangaluru Hospitals.” He further added, upon requiring blood in Mangaluru hospitals, people can reach him on his phone number +919972818849 Gen. Niyamatullah Moulana of Maghdoomiya Juma Masjid kicked off the camp by donating his share of blood which was followed by over 170 units of blood collected during the camp which was open till 2.00 pm. President Shaheen Sports Centre, Matta Sadiq, Gen. Secy. Samiullah, Convenor Imshad Mukhtesar, BMYF President Imtiyaz Udyawar, Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem Gen. Secy. Altaf Kharuri, Israr Jamsher and others were present during the event.
