Beware: Quack doctors robs Bhatkal homes after hypnosis

Bhatkal 19 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Quack doctors claiming themselves to be the 'Experts' of Ayurvedic medicine have been robbing homes in Bhatkal after allegedly hypnotizing residents, who were today taken to Bhatkal town police station by local youngster after several residents claimed that they were hypnotized before they handed over goods of their homes to the fraudulent doctors. The incident was first reported on 18 September, Tuesday when a woman from Badriya colony alleged that she was hypnotized before she handed over good of her home to a woman who came to her house claiming that she was expert of Ayurvedic medicine. The allegations were followed by several other families also reported similar incidents at their homes. On Thursday, when the woman once again appeared in the streets, local youngsters stopped her and took her to police station and reported the allegations made by the residents. The woman however, presented her identity proof while denying all the allegations and adding that all that she took away from the homes were the 'gifts' given by the residents themselves when they found her medicine to be good. Upon further enquiry she added that they were over 40 people that were 'selling' ayurvedic medicine across the town, and that they all belonged from Maharashtra state. However no case was registered into the matter as the victims refrained from filing complaint fearing dire consequences of Black Magic by the gang. Police department urged all the residents to be careful while dealing with such door to door vendors, citing that they can 'brainwash' you and that people should avoid conversations with them. "What they (quack doctors) are saying is also true, when they visit your home, you should not entertain them, if you get into conversation and ask details about their products, that's where they can brainwash you and get as much money as possible, they know such tricks to get you into their talk, as they have denied doing hypnosis, we cannot comment on it since no complaint has been filed, if complaint was filed we would have conducted enquiry and get to the truth" ASI Rathod told Bhatkallys.com.
