Bengaluru civic poll: Smart phones, laptops rule electioneering

BENGALURU: In localities of wards in Dasarahalli, a greater Bengaluru constituency, gone are the days wherein party workers used to sit with multiple sheets of electoral rolls. Being at help desk, their job is to help voters in identifying polling room number and distribute voter slips. Smartphone and laptops have come handy for them as they quickly search for voter details on the election commission of India website and give directions. Manjunath Raju, a BJP worker in Dasarahalli, said they have ensured party workers work with these gadgets so that they can carer to the needs of voters faster than their counterparts. Similar is the case of party workers in other parts of west Bengaluru. -TOI
