"Beauty of a woman lies in her character" Dr. Shameem Surayya tells students at Anjuman College for Women

Bhatkal 6 March 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Anjuman College for women, Bhatkal organized its 24th annual day event at their college campus on Wednesday March 06. The event began with recitation of Holy Quran by Khairunnisa, followed by recitation of Hamd by Aysha Taskeen while another student Aysha Urooj voiced beautiful Naath. Tarana -e- Anjuman was also presented by the students. Advocate Aysha Sabah Irshad Ikkeri delivered the welcome speech and introduced the Guests. College principal Raeesa Shaikh presented the annual report of the college for the academic year 2018-19. Several awards and prizes were also distributed among the students for their individual performances throughout the year. Awards were distributed to the Academic Toppers while University rank holders were also felicitated for their outstanding performances, achievers in several categories of sports were also appreciated. Present at the event as the chief guest was Dr.Shameem Surayya , retired principal,B.B Raza College, Gulbarga. In her address to the students she said "This is an era of change and accordingly we are also required to change. Our facial beauty is not the real beauty, the real beauty lies in our characters”. Speaking as a Guest of honor Dr.Sandhya Bhatt,(Asst. Horticultural Officer,ZP, Bhatkal) said that Girls should also be encouraged to pursue Higher education. She also added that women should be proud of themselves and never underestimate their own talent. Dr.Samha Barmaver(MBBS,Intern at Srinivas Institute of medical Science) praised Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen for providing quality education to thousands of students. She also spoke about the educational development that has taken place in Bhatkal over recent years. Seema Nazir Kashimji in her presidential address explained the importance of women’s education in the society and also presented the vision and mission of the Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen in this regard. Shahida Ekkeri presented the vote of thanks towards the conclusion of the event. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
