Bantwal: Sarees worth Rs. 2.44 lakh seized from co-operative society during raid

Bantwal 21 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) On Thursday, April 19 the Election Officials along with Bantwal Police raided co-operative bank branch at BC Road and seized around 1,222 sarees estimating to be around the value of Rs 2.44 lakh. Acting upon the credible complaint by general public, the raid was conducted. The sarees were brought in aim of distributing it to the members of Navodaya team of bank, but couldn't process the same due to the implementation of code of conduct, said bank authorities. Action would be decided based upon the documents to be furnished by bank authorities, informed Nodal Officer Rajanna. (Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Wafa Kifa)
