Banks in India to Have 11 non-working days this July

Settle the banking affairs this June, as the next calendar month holds about 11 days off for the banks across India. In July, banks will be closed for 11 days due to nationwide strikes called by various unions and associations of the banks, the first and the fourth Saturday followed by weekly off on Sunday is however the regular off for the banking sectors, 6th of July will mark the Eid Holiday, while to mark their protest against the merging of SBI’s associate banks State bank of Bikenar and Jaipur will call strike on 12th and 28th of July. On July 13th except for SBI Employees, All India Employees association and All India bank officers association has called for Nationwide strike, whereas July 29 will mark a nationwide strike called by The United Forum of Bank Unions. July 2 and 23 will mark the first and fourth saurdays, while 3, 10, 17, and 24 will be regular weekly offs, Eid Holiday falls on 6th of july and 4 days closure due to the Nationwide strikes will make it a total of 11 non working days for bank in the month.
