Azad nagar youths catch 10 foot python

20th July 2013 / Rizwan Ganguly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Youths from Azad Nagar Imam Shafi masjid area caught a 10-feet long python that brought a huge relief to residents of the area. According to sources, when female members of the locality spotted a giant python, they started shouting. Soon, youths from the locality - Imran, Irfan, Talha, Tajuddin - gathered and managed to catch the snake. Later, they handed over the snake to the forest officials. It may be noted that since Imam Shafi masjid is in close proximity to a forest, there are frequent spotting of preying animals like these. Absence of street lights compounds the problem. Hence, residents of this area are extremely angry over Panchayat officials and were demanding installations of proper street lights and resolutions to other issues.
