Auto-rickshaw collides with Omni near HESCOM, 1 injured

12 Nov 2013 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: An auto-rickshaw driver was seriously injured and 20 children suffered minor injuries when an auto-rickshaw collided with an Omni car that was carrying school children to Anand Ashram School. This incident took place at 8:30 am today near HESCOM office at Sagar Road in Bhatkal. The injured, identified as Yashwant Irappa Naik (38), was provided first-aid treatment at Government Hospital Bhatkal and then later shifted to Kundapur. The accident took place when the Omni car heading towards Anand Ashram School from Shamsuddin Circle was hit by the auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction. In this accident, the Omni car was badly damaged. A case was registered at Bhatkal Rural police station.
