Asus ZenPad Z8 tablet launched with 7.9-inch display, 4,680mAh battery

Asus has launched its latest tablet - the ZenPad Z8, in the US. Priced at $249.99, the tablet will be available in Black colour and will go on sale starting June 23. In terms of specifications, the ZenPad Z8 features a 7.9-inch IPS display with 1536x2048 pixel resolution and 178-degree viewing angle. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The tablet has 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Asus ZenPad Z8 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and has an 8MP rear camera, along with a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling. The device comes with dual front-facing speakers powered by DTS-HD audio and is backed by a 4,680 mAh battery. Connectivity options of the tablet include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C. Asus recently unveiled two new laptops in India - A540 and R558UR, priced at Rs 20,990 and Rs 43,990 respectively. The company claims that the R558 is the first mainstream notebook in India to feature a next-gen USB type-C port, and also the first to have a Nvidia GT930MX GPU. Asus R558UR is an upgraded version of its R88UF premium notebook. It features a 15.6-inch Full HD LED backlit display and is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, clubbed with 4GB DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 930MX GPU. NDTV
