Assistant commissioner takes stock of preparations for Independence day celebration

Bhatkal 31 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Sajid Ahmed Mulla on Monday called a meeting of all the Government officers and office bearers of local social and educational institutions at the Tahsildar's office to take stock of the preparations for Independence day celebration. Speaking at the meeting, Mulla instructed government officials to make sure that their concern departments celebrate the independence with great enthusiasm and fervor, he also instructed all the government offices to be decorated with lighting on Aug 14-15 to mark the Indian independence. He also urged the concerned departments to initiate cleanliness drives ahead of the Independence day as a part of PM Modi's campaign of 'Swach Bharat'. Bhatkal Tahsildar VN Bhatkar, distributed the responsibilities to the concerned departments regarding the arrangements of celebratory and parade event at the Taluka stadium of the town. Bhatkal CPI KL Ganesh, Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem General Secretary Altaf Kharuri, BEO MR Munji, and officials of several schools and educational institutions were present at the meeting.
