Arvind Kejriwal's AAP to meet today to discuss plans for Lok Sabha elections

After its stunning debut in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Admi Party (AAP) is expected to chalk out its plans for the national elections today. The 23-member AAP National Executive will meet at the Constitution Club in Delhi this morning to discuss its plans and strategies for the general elections, to be held by May. AAP has already decided to fight all the seats in Gujarat and will also contest in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The party has also held camps in Chennai to mobilise people. AAP leader Kumar Vishwas has said that he will contest the Lok Sabha elections against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi from his constituency in Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. Mr Vishwas doesn't just want to take on Mr Gandhi in Amethi. He would like the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to join the line-up. "Let Rahul Gandhi, Modi and me contest from Amethi and see who wins," Mr Vishwas has said earlier this week, adding, "I want to tell Narendra Modi that he should stop speaking about Rahul Gandhi for 50 minutes in his one-hour speeches. If he really wants to end Gandhi's stint from Amethi, then let him contest from Amethi. Let Rahul Gandhi, me and Modi contest from Amethi." Mr Kejriwal, who took oath as Delhi's new Chief Minister a week ago at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, has urged "honest" people from all spheres and political parties, including Congress and BJP, to join his party in its 'fight against corruption'.
