Arrested Congress, BJP workers released on bail

March 10, 2016 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: BJP and Congress workers who were arrested by Bhatkal Police after they clashed against each other inside the police station on Wednesday were released on the same evening after Bhatkal JMFC court's judge in his residence pronounced their release . According to sources, after the arrests, BJP workers staged a strong protest outside Bhatkal Town Police Station that forced the officials to even resort to lathi-charge. However, under mounting pressure from protesting workers, the police produced the arrested members of BJP and Congress at the residence of Bhatkal JMFC court's judge on the same evening where their release was pronounced. It may be noted that police had arrested 12 BJP members and three Congress members. - ARF
