Arab information ministers have endorsed a media strategy presented by the Kingdom to combat terrorism, Culture and Information Minister Abdul Aziz Khoja announced yesterday.
He was speaking to reporters after meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Salah Abdul Maqsoud in Cairo.
The minister said he had discussed ways of promoting media coordination on key Arab issues with Maqsoud.
Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmed Qattan and Deputy Information Minister Abdullah Al-Jasser attended the meeting.
“We have discussed a number of issues that concern Saudi Arabia and Egypt,” Khoja said.
On his part, Maqsoud thanked the Saudi minister for visiting the Egyptian ministry.
“We have discussed prospects of expanding cooperation between the two countries in the media field, especially joint production, exchange of expertise and programs and documentation of information heritage,” he said.
