Apple may have discontinued this iPhone model

NEW DELHI: Apple seems to have discontinued the biggest storage variant (256GB) of iPhone 7. According to a report in Mashable, the Cupertino giant Apple no longer sells 256GB iPhone 7.
According to the report, the company appears to have discontinued the smartphone on September 12 itself, the day the company unveiled its latest-generation iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the tenth-anniversary edition iPhone X. The report sourced the page from archived websites accessed via Wayback Machine.
The report further adds that a company executive too confirmed to them that it is no longer selling 256GB Apple iPhone 7 directly. This means that that buyers can't purchase the smartphone via the company store, but may get it at third party sellers who still have them in stock.
Apple's India website too has iPhone 7 listed in only two variants -- 32GB and 128GB.
To recall, the company launched the iPhone 7 in 2017 along with the iPhone 7 Plus.
Talking about specs, Apple iPhone 7 is powered by the company's new quad-core A10 Fusion SoC. The processor has two high performance cores and two high-efficiency cores for longer battery life. It also has a new 6-core GPU, which is claimed to be 50% faster than the A9 processor that powers the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
Apple iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch Retina HD display. Other additions include a 12MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 6 element lens, quad LED flash, flicker sensor and more. The smartphone's camera also uses an image signal processor to apply machine learning, in order to distinguish between humans and objects in images, adjusting brightness and noise levels accordingly.
