Anti-Corruption Bureau arrests Bhatkal TMC chief officer

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 29 December 2016: Anti Corruption Bureau(Karwar Wing) arrested Bhatkal TMC chief officer, identified as MG Ramesh, for allegedly taking a bribe from a local resident for clearing the pending approval of his under construction house in Nawayath colony. As per the reports, A local resident Ismail Barmawar, had applied for water connection at his under construction house at Nawayath colony, MG Ramesh was allegedly asked for bribe to approve the application, Perturbed over this, Ismail’s contractor Jagdish approached the anti-corruption bureau, which laid a trap and arrested the chief officer from his office. The officers informed media that, Ramesh will now be produced in Karwar Session court. Ramesh was transferred to Bhatkal earlier this year prior to which he was deployed in Chamrajnagar.
