Another man arrested in Bhatkal for running Matka gambling business

Bhatkal 23 October 2019: Bhatkal Police on Tuesday evening arrested another person for running Matka gambling business at his shop here in Marukeri region of Bhatkal Taluk. The detained accused has been identified as Manjappa Naik (64), resident of Marukeri. Working on a tip off, Bhatkal Police raided a Beeda Shop at Marukeri and found Manjappa involved in Matka gambling game. The police seized chits used to record Matka numbers and Rs.1,060 from him during the raid. A case has been registered at Bhatkal Rural Police Station and investigations are underway.
