Another gambling spot raided at Bhatkal, as police continues crackdown

Bhatkal 10 February 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal police on Saturday continued its crackdown on the gambling spots in and around Bhatkal and detained five men involved in playing ‘Andar-Bahar’ gambling game in a public place here at Belke of Bhatkal Taluka. The detained have been identified as Hanumanta Naik(43), Ramesh Naik(37), Jagadeesh Naik(28), Shankar Naik(40) and Manjunath Naik(35). All are resident of Bhatkal Taluka. Working on credible information, Bhatkal Rural PSI, Ravi on Saturday early morning raided a place called ‘Kalbandi’ near Belke village of Bhatkal Taluka, and detained five men who were playing ‘Andar-Bahar’ gambling game there. The police also seized a pack of 52 cards, a blue plastic sheet, two candles and cash of Rs.4,390/- from the spot. A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
