Annual sports meet of EIFF held with vibrancy

Sharjah - On the Occasion of 40th UAE National day, EIFF has organized one day sports meet at Sharjah University stadium. More than 400 people have participated in the EIFFs Annual sports meet. The Program was started with Quran recitation.

Janab Abdul Waheed Sait, Janab Nabavi , Janab Ashik Ameen and Janab Abdul Hameed were the chief guests of the program.

Janab Abdul Waheed Sait Bangalore has inaugurated the sports meet at 8.45 am. In his inaugural speech Janab Sait said that the Sports Meet will help in exposing the talent, developing unity, integrity and sportsmanship among the people.

Janab Aashir Ibrahim who was overall in charge of the tournament read out the rules and regulations to be followed in the tournament. Mr. Nasir Hussain President of EIFF has conducted oath taking ceremony. Tournament was conducted in three groups as DUBAI, SHARJAH & ABU DHABI.

The main events of the Tournament are Kabaddi, Volley Ball, Foot Ball, Tug of war, Shot Put, Frog Jump, 100 Meters race & 4 x 100 Meters relay .

Dubai has bagged 1st place in Volley ball and 4 x 100 Meters relay .. The 1st Place in Kabaddi and Tug of war has bagged by Abu Dhabi team and Sharjah team has satisfied with 1st place in Foot Ball.

Winners of following sports

1. 100 Meters 1st place - Mukthar Sullia
2. Shot put 1st place - Ashraf Bailur
3. Frog Jump 1st place - Ashfaq Bajpe

Even blood group Check up and Blood Sugar Check up counter was also there and same was utilized by the majority of the Participants. Brake fast, Lunch, evening tea and dinner was arranged to all the participants. Emirates snacks sponsored the snacks to all the participants. The program was very successful because of the hard work by EIFF Volunteers. DUBAI bagged the Over All Championship with EIFF Rolling Trophy.

1. Volley Ball - Kaizar Kannangar
2. Football - Althaf Bolar
3. Kabaddi - Habeeb Aladka

All the participant and audience offered Maghrib prayer on the ground, It was worth to watch all final match in flood lit followed by the closing ceremony and Prize distribution.

The chief guests on closing ceremony were Janab Abdul Lathief and Janab Anwar.

Janab Shameer Ahmed, Janab Ashraf Sheik and Janab Anwar has distributed the prizes to the winners of various events. The program concluded at 9 P.M. with vote of thanks by Janab Shameer Ahmed & Dua by Janab Ebrahim Agnadi Assistant Coordinator of the event.
