Annual Rabita Education Award program held in Bhatkal

Bhatkal - 16 July 2011: Annual 'Rabita Education Award' ceremony was held here at Anjuman High School Grounds, Bhatkal wherein the toppers from various Schools and Colleges of Bhatkal along with Bhatkalli students studying in Schools outside Bhatkal including Gulf coutnries were honoured. The special guests who graced the annual event included Janab Moulana Mehmood Asad Madani (Member of Parliament), Dr Manzoor Alam (Chairman, Institute of Objective Studies, New Delhi) and Moulana Syed Mustafa Rifai Nadvi (Executive Member AIMPLB).
The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Mr Mohammed Basha Ruknuddin greeted the audience and introduced the guests. Later Mr S. J. Syed Hashim, Secretary General, Rabita Society presented the annual report highlighting the activities of Rabita Society.
Speaking on this occasion, chief guests Janab Moulana Mehmood Madani, Dr Manzoor Alam and Moulana Mustafa Rifai have showered praise on Bhatkal and its people.
Moulana Mehmood Madani said, 'Our new generation should not treat education as a money making tool but gain education with an intention to help others.'
Dr Manzoor Alam said, 'Human rights violation and increased terrorist activities are the result of Globalization.'
Moulana Syed Mustafa Rifai while interacting with the audience said, 'Knowledge has no bounds, we should keep on learning till our death. He also advised people to always recite small supplication 'Rabbi zidni ilma' asking Almighty Allah to increase our knowledge.'
In his keynote address, Mr S. M. Syed Khaleelur Rahman said, 'We can build a decent society only when we take care of our children in their childhood and provide proper knowledge about good and bad, haram and halal'
In his presidential address, Mr Syed Abdullah Lanka advised parents to concentrate on moral education along with providing modern education. He also requested Bhatkalli people to invest their money in establishing Industries and Factories in Bhatkal and create employment opportunities for Bhatkalli people.
The main part of this program, that is, prize distribution was carried out by Mr. Aftab Kola, who announced the names of students.

On this occasion, Mr S M Khaleelur Rahman has announced Rs 25,000 reward for Anjuman students, who secures above 95% Marks in SSLC from next year onwards. The prize will be given on behalf of Khaleel Charitable Foundation.
The program was concluded with the thanksgiving speech by Mr. Mohammed Yaseen Askeri followed by Dua by Moulana Khwaja Akrami Nadvi.
