Bhatkal 18 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The relaying of the roads at Anjumanabad were stopped mid-way owing to the code of conduct during Karnataka State Assembly elections and later was halted due to the monsoon, which had left people questioning about the poor conditions of the roads that commute hundreds of students everyday to the several of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen's institutions.
The conditions of the road were further worsened when the construction of the road was abandoned after initiating the construction, the road beginning from Assistant Commissioner's office is only left with jelly stones causing inconvenience to the students travelling on two-wheeler.
However, there was little the management could have done as all the government work are put on hold immediately after implementation of Election Code of Conduct which was immediately followed by the monsoon season.
Despite this, according to the Additional General Secretary of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal, Ishaq Shabandri, the continuous follow up with the authority has led to successful negotiations and the construction work of the road finally were resumed on Tuesday.
The management now hopes that the work will be fast tracked and that the road will be restored for the convenience of the students and other commuters of the road.
