Anjuman to start separate Engineering College for women

Bhatkal - 23 Jan 2012: Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal is all-set to start a separate Engineering College for women from next year. This was announced by the President of AHM, Mr Syed Khaleel-ur-Rehman. Providing the details he said, 'Anjuman is the first institution in Karnataka to start Engineering College exclusively for girl students.' He said the college will start functioning initially at Anjuman College for women campus located near Shamsuddin circle and only ladies staff are permitted to teach. Hostel facility will be provided to out-station students. He added that the main objective of this move is to encourage girls to pursue Engineering Education in Bhatkal because many Bhatkallis are moving to big cities like Mangalore and Bangalore for Engineering courses.
