Anjuman students pays educational visit to Momin Nursery & Botanical Garden

Bhatkal - 26 March 2011: The B.Sc IInd & IIIrd year students of Anjuman College for Women, Bhatkal had visited Momin Nursery & Botanical Garden for an educational visit. As nursery management plays a vital role in the development of various fruit plants, exotic and indoor plants, the Botany department has requested the management to grant this permission, which was accorded. Their requirements whatsoever were fulfilled by Momin Nursery.

An educative talk was imparted on a wide variety of plants and green house by Mr. Muneer, a certified soil consultant in Uttara Kannada and an expert in gardening and landscaping management. A brief description of his world class work was given on seeds propagation, germination, grafting, layering, bedding, and temperature management for plants on soil conditioning. Necessity for humidity etc was also widely discussed.

A host of questioning were put forward by the students, which were answered by the consultant. This short visit to the gardening arena has enriched the students with knowledge that met with high applause.

The students maintained discipline under the guidance of their teachers. The event was organised by Mr. Abdul Hakeem Momin, the owner of Momin Nursery & Gardening Developers, which was highly appreciated by the staff and students of Anjuman College for Women present at the event.
