Anjuman set for grand celebrations; procession begins on Thursday

Bhatkal 2 Jan 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Preparations for Anjuman’s mega procession to kick off centenary celebrations in Bhatkal were in full throttle as student volunteers amped up support for the event. The meet was organised at the Jukaku Shamsuddin Memorial administrative block of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, here at Anjumanabad. The meet was to celebrate the hard work of the youth wing along with the executive members who have worked tirelessly as part of the events planning and logistics. Cakes from several local bakers in Bhatkal were presented at the meet, to showcase the theme of Anjuman centenary celebrations. The officials lauded the enthusiasm of the youngsters and appreciated their spirit. Meanwhile, Anjuman on Wednesday evening, showcased a special documentary featuring interviews of office bearers, speeches of prominent personalities including late SM Yahya and others, while also featuring insights on the history of the organisation.The documentary was screened on a travelling display which stopped in several places across town.
