"Anjuman second to none in Uttara Kannada District" District in-charge minister RV Deshpande at Centenary celebrations' inaugural event

Bhatkal 5 January 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal, on Saturday kicked started its centenary celebrations on a high note in the presence of several prominent personalities including Moulana Mohammed Ghulam Vastanvi, who was present as the chief guest of the event here at Anjumanabad. Along with Moulana Vastanvi, several other political figures were also present at the event including Karnataka  Revenue minister and Uttara Kannada District in-charge minister RV Deshpande, Urban Development and Housing Dakshin Kannada in-charge minister UT Khader, local MLA Sunil Naik, MLA Tanveer Sait amongst others. CLICK HERE to see photos from the inaugural event Speaking at the event, Moulana Vastanvi, expressed his gratefulness to the management of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal for inviting him for the event, while also lauding Anjuman on completing 100 years of service in educational sector in Bhatkal and adjoining towns and districts. Moulana further wished the organisation in accomplishing more such milestones in coming years. RV Deshpande in his address remembered his 'political gurus' SM Yahya and Shamsuddin Jukaku, and added that the two are the stars of this community and that there names will be remembered for thousands of years to come. We also extended all the support from his end in making the organisation better. He also added that Anjuman is second to nine in this field in the whole of Uttara Kannada district and nobody can match its services rendered over past one century. Bhatkal-Honnavar MLA Sunil Naik, also spoke at the event and shared his experiences from his colleges, and lauded the efforts of Anjuman management in running the organisation so well, and in a people & students friendly management. Earlier the event began with watering of plants by the dignaties on the dias after which, convener of the centenary celebrations Abdul Raqeeb MJ, welcomed the guests, while Anjuman General Secretary Ismail Siddique presented the report, while the event concluded with the presidential remarks by Anjuman president Abdul Rahim Jukaku and vote of thanks by Addl. GS Ishaq Shabandri. Meritorious students and teachers who have served the organisation for more than 20 years were also felicitated during the inaugural event. Senior executive members including DF Shabber along with other secretaries of the organisation and officials of other local organisations were present on dias.
