Anjuman PU students wins big at district level games; qualifies for state level in several events

Bhatkal 24 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Students of Anjuman boys PU College runned by Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal on Monday qualified for the state level games in several events after putting up impressive performances during district level games held in Karwar.
Karate: Ihab Ruknuddin and Mukarram Subedar bagged gold and silver medal respectively in Karate under 50 kg, Mohammed SJ secured gold in under 65 kg category, Ismail Kakde secured silver medal in the event under 45 kg category, Ismail Kashfi secured silver in under 55 kg category of the event.
Swimming: The students of college secured 12 gold medal and 9 silver medals and one bronze medal in the district level swimming competition held at Muncipal pool Karwar.
Football: The football team also won the district level football tournament organised by YTSS college Yellapur at Maladevi Kridangana Karwar, beating Kumta in the final with 4-0 margin.
IT Quiz: Three teams representing the college also qualified at the IT Quiz held in Karwar which now contest the competition at the state level.
Basketball: Though the team secured runner-up position, five players from the team representing Anjuman PU College successfully secured a place for themselves in the state level team.
According to the college officials, most of the winners will now play in the state level games in their respective events.
Management, teachers and staffs congratulated the students on putting up such wonderful performances and wished them luck for the future events.
