Anjuman PU college for women organise event themed 'Skills and thrills' for students

Bhatkal 22 December 2018: Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal's Anjuman pre-university college for women on Saturday organised a program themed 'Skills and thrills' an intercollegiate model competition consisting of four events namely Best out of waste, lunch table Arrangements, Fruit carving and Islamic model Expo at its campus here near Shamsuddin circle.
The event was balanced and distributed into three main events wherein the students were provided the platform to showcase their talents and abilities.
The event was part of the organisation's pre-centenary celebrations as it is set to celebrate 100 years of establishment and service, beginning January 5, 2019.
The visitors, parents and audience were in the awe of what was put on display by the students at the event in all the three main competitions, as the students left them stunned with their respective performances.
ISLAMIC MODEL EXPO: The Islamic model section had various models put on display, including the five pillars of Islam, the ship of Prophet Nuh (Peace be upon him), Models explaining Islamic Hijab rules, various holy Masjids, holy sites of Makkah and Madina etc.
FOOD CARVING: Wonderful carvings art on the fruits was the centre of attraction for the guests attending the event. Several fruits were used while making the carvings which again left the audience in the awe of the hard work that had been put in by the students. Some of the arts that caught the eyes of the visitors were made using watermelon, apples, pineapple,oranges and bananas.
BEST OUT OF WASTE: The events'one of the most purposeful main event, was the 'best out of waste' event, which had students get the best out of the stuff that usually goes as 'waste' sometimes also hampering the environment. Models explained that how even the smallest stuffs like thermacol used inside a tv packing or remains of plastics and cardboards, each and every thing can be reused and should be valued in our daily lives. Wonderful ideas were put on display on how these materials can be used as decorative items, crafts and daily use items among others.
LUNCH TABLE ARRANGEMENTS: The students also impressed guests with their skills and a peep into what goes into their kitchen and the arrangements that they would make if they had to hosts these guests, as they prepared and displayed how the lunch table can be made to look flawless and win the hearts of your guests.
