Anjuman Girls PU College host Taluka level sports meet for PU Colleges

Bhatkal 30 August 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Anjuman Girl PU College Bhatkal on Thursday hosted the Taluka level sports meet for Pre-University colleges at Anjumanabad ground here.
Over eight PU Colleges from across the Taluka participated in several sports events that were organised in the meet including Javelin throw, long jump, shot put, triple jump and others.
Ashwini Naik and Yuvraj Moger bagged the individual championships in the sports meet, while Beena Vaidya PU College (108 points) points, and New English PU College (101 points) bagged the college championships.
Sunil Naik, the Bhatkal-Honnavar MLA who was invited as the chief guest for the event, gave the event a miss.
Anjum Kola, Divisional Manager of leading firm in Saudi Arabia who was present at the guest of honor spoke about the how sports develops Discipline and leadership skills in the students and why students should actively take part in the sports activities.
The event that was chaired by Abdul Rahman Batin, began with the hoisting of flag, followed by oath taking ceremony for the students of all the colleges.
Anjuman PU College professor Ganesh Yaji, welcomed the guest after recitation of holy Quran and Naat, while Ms. Radhika Acharya presented vote of thanks towards the end of the event.
Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen General Secretary, Ismail Siddique, Addl GS Ishaq Shabandri, Anjuman PU and Degree college board secretary Mohsin Shabandri, School Board secretary Asif Damudi along with Anjuman PU College boys Abdul Rahim Khan and other lecturers of Anjuman college were present on dias during the event.
