Anjuman Girls High School honors students with 'Batool-e-Anjuman' awards

Bhatkal: 4 December 2023 (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  Anjuman Girls High School (AGHS) on Basti Road celebrated its annual social gathering, where students were honored with the coveted 'Batool-e-Anjuman' awards. 

The prestigious 'Batool-e-Anjuman' award for the academic year 2023-24 was bestowed upon Safa, daughter of Abdul Majeed Fareed. In the previous academic year 2022-23, the award was presented to Afrah, daughter of Syed Irfan.

Silver medals were also presented to exceptional students in both academic years. For the year 2023-24, Arwa, daughter of Abdul Qayyum Akrami, and Ifra Anjum, daughter of Ibrahim Shaikh, were honored for their noteworthy contributions. In the preceding academic year 2022-23, the silver medals were awarded to Khamrunnisa Anjum, daughter of Mohammed Sirajuddin Shaikh, and Kurrath, daughter of Nanne Sab.

The Chief Guest for the annual gathering, Furkana Afrose Batin, delivered an inspiring address, reflecting on her own high school days. Batin emphasized the pivotal role of education, particularly for women, citing the positive impact an educated woman has on the entire community. Drawing inspiration from Hazrat Khadijah (R.A), she highlighted the importance of self-empowerment and individual achievement.

Batin stressed the collective responsibility involved in a student's success, emphasizing the roles of parents, teachers, mentors, and friends. She encouraged parents to foster positive relationships with their children, recognizing each child's unique strengths. Batin also shared valuable insights on overcoming exam fears and effective exam preparation.

Presiding over the function, Seema Abubaker Kashimji, Member of Ladies Advisory Committee, Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen, Bhatkal, highlighted the significance of "Batool e Anjuman" and underscored the institution's commitment to education.

The event featured various presentations, including the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, a welcome song, the annual school report presentation by Headmistress Aatiya AG, and a vote of thanks delivered by Aseeya AG.
