Anjuman General Body Meeting held on 6th January 2013

Bhatkal , 6th January,2013:The annual General Body Meeting of Anjuman Hami-E-Muslimeen, Bhatkal, was held on 6th Jan. 2013 at Usman Hassan Hall of Islamia Anglo Urdu High School, Bhatkal.
The meeting started with recitation of the verses from Holy Quran and its translation and was followed by Tarana Anjuman sung by IAUH School students.
Jb. Kharuri Mohsin Saheb welcomed the gathering and compered the program.
General Secretary Jb. Jukaku Abdul Rahim explaining the purpose and importance of the Annual General Body Meeting said that this is an opportunity to highlight the achievements and activities of the Anjuman during the year to the Members of Anjuman and to seek cooperation of the members. He also said that during such meetings the Anjuman can present to its members the challenges faced in achieving its goal and seek suggestions from members for facing these challenges. Members also can seek clarifications about Anjuman's activities and its affairs so that any doubts can be cleared.
Giving a short summary of the achievements of Anjuman he informed that during the past one year Five Anjuman institutions achieved 100% results and 6 institutions had more than 90% pass in University and Board Exams. Three students got ranks and six students scored more than 90% marks in university final exams. Another encouraging part is that in all exams most of those passed were either I class or Distinction. General Secretary congratulated the students, their parents, the teachers, head of institution and Anjuman management for these achievements.
General Secretary gave accounts of the efforts put by Anjuman towards improving the educational standards in its institutions by focusing on four aspects namely, Students, Teachers, Parents and Infra structure. Students are trained in personality and career development and in improving their learning and memory abilities. Focus on training teaching staff to teach better and increased parental involvement and participation and providing modern teaching aids like computers, internet, Smart digital Boards, Projectors, Wifi and Digital Libtrary in two Colleges have already resulted in improving their quality of education. He called upon the members to appreciate the good work and commend the achievements of the institutions and acknowledge the services rendered by all concerned and not over stress small mistakes and shortcomings.
Jb. Abdurraqeeb Moulana Secy. Primary School and Deeniyat board read the detailed Annual report of Anjuman for the year 2011-12 in which summary of all the activities, progress and proceedings of Anjuman were indicated. In the end of the report GS thanked Almighty Allah for his blessings and guidance in what has been achieved. He expressed his appreciation of President Jb. Khaleel Saheb's concern about the welfare of Anjuman. He also thanked each of the office bearers for the efforts they have put.
Jb. Ameeruddin Kola presented the Audited Accounts of Anjuman.
Members sought clarification regarding various matters of Anjuman and the President and office bearers gave satisfactory answers. Matters regarding better maintenance and upkeep of the school buildings, quickly finishing the Women's Degree College buildings project etc. were suggested.
The Annual report and the Annual Account was passed.
Jb. Khalil Saheb, President of the Anjuman, in his presidential address called upon members to appreciate the efforts put by the Office bearers who work without any personal benefit or gain and give time in spite of their preoccupations. He emphasised on the contribution of the Anjuman over the years in educating our community and said that due to Anjuman many of our youths are placed in important positions in India and abroad. He said that Anjuman not only provides quality education but arranges character building by teaching Deeniyat right from Kindergarten to Degree levels. He stressed that more cooperation and support should come from community for the contribution made by Anjuman to the society.
Mr. Ismail Siddique, Additional Secretary, delivered the vote of thanks and the meeting concluded with the Dua of Mr. Abdul Rahman Batin, Secretary High Schools.
All the other office bearers Ansar Kashimji, Ismail Damudi, Dr. Syed Saleem, S M Syed Abdul Qadir, Javid Armar, Abubakar Qasimji were seated on the stage.
