Anjuman Elections record 78% polling

May 24, 2015 | Rizwan Gangavaly | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: The elections organized since Sunday morning for the Administrative Committee of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen came to a conclusion in the evening recording 78% polling at the end of the poll. A source informed that out of 629 members of Anjuman, 491 exercised their right to vote, which is said to be a record turnout in comparison to previous years. Election Commissioner Mohsin Kharoori informed that elections were held peacefully and counting is set to begin on Monday 9 am and expected to conclude at 11 am. It may be noted that 60 candidates are in fray for 23 administrative seats of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen and their fate will be decided with the counting results set to be announced at 11 am on Monday. - ARF
