Anjuman Elections; Final list of candidates released

Bhatkal - 13 June 2011: Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen yesterday released the final list of candidates contesting for the Management body elections for the next 5 year term (2011-2015). According to the Election commissioner, Mr Abdubaker Ali Kasimji, total 32 members are in the fray for 23 seats. Total 488 members will cast their votes on 19th June 2011. Anjuman members who are currently in the Gulf are also eligible to cast their votes provided they should submit their request atleast 2 days before the Election date. The voters are allowed to select 23 candidates out of 34. Those who selects less than or more than 23, his ballot paper would be rejected.

The 10 members who are already got selected in the management body from the previous management council includes, Mr Abdul Raheem Jukaku, Mr Siddique Ismail, Mr Kasimji Ansar, Mr Abdul Rahman Basha, Mr Khwaja Jubapu, Mr Moulana Zubair, Mr Javeed Armar, Mr S M Syed Abdul Qadir, Mr Syed Ashraf Barmawar and Mr Abdubaker Kasimji. Apart from this, Mr Syed Khaleelur Rahman, Mr D H Shabbar and Mr Syed Hasan Saqqaf are also included in the management council.
