Anjuman degree college celebrates 51st annual day

Bhatkal 1 April 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Anjuman Arts, Science, Commerce College & P.G.Centre Bhatkal, celebrated its 51st Annual Day program here at college ground on Sunday, 31 March. The program began with the recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Urwa Barmawar while Hassan Kazia Voiced a beautiful Naat. The chief guest for the event Dr.Riyaz Ahmed Managoli, Chairman & Director Dept. of Criminology & Criminal Justice, Rani Channamma University Belagavi, addressed the gathering and insisted the students to read the Constitution of India. He then spoke about Article 14 (Right to equality), Article 19(Right to freedom of speech and expression) and Article 29 (Protection of interests of minorities) to the students. Guest of Honor, Janab A M Mulla, former Syndicate member, Karnataka University Dharwad also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the responsibilities of teachers. He added, “ There are two types of teachers. They are teacher by joice and teacher by chance. The teacher by joice are the best as they teach the students with complete interest. While the teachers by chance are opposite. They do not have interest in teaching the students and cannot engage the class efficiently.” Several awards and cash prizes were distributed among the students for their academics, sports and Co-curricular activities achieved during the academic year 2018-19. During the occasion Senior Teaching faculty, Dr. S Rashad Usmani, was felicitated for his glorious service of 27 years in the institution. While the non teaching staff Mr. Hidayatullah Khan wha also felicitated for his 21 years of glorious service here. The best outstanding student award was awarded to Mr. Mohammed Saad Kola of B.Com 6th sem and Miss Tasbiha Mujawar of M.Com 4th sem. The function concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. Sayed Ibrahim B.Com 6th Sem . Graduation day celebration was held in evening. The event was presided over by Anjuman College Board Secretary Janab Mohammed Mohsin Shabandri . Dr.Hassan Imran Mohetesam, Assistant Professor at Yenepoya Denatal college Mangalore was chief guest for the event. During the event medals and certificates were distributed to the students by the dignitaries present on the stage.
