Anjuman Boys PU College emerges champion at District level Kabbadi tournament

Bhatkal 22 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Anjuman Boys PU college Bhatkal emerged as the champions at the District level Kabbadi tournament organised by the Karnataka PU Board, YTTS PU College Yellapur in association with Goverment PU College of Yellapur, which was played at the Taluka Stadium here in Yellapur. Over eleven teams from across the district participated in the event, where in Anjuman PU College led by Sahil Amri won the tournament by beating Haliyal PU college in the finals with the scorecard reading 22-10. Earlier in the tournament Anjuman beat Mundgod and Sirsi college in round one and two respectively before entering the final round. The members of the team also secured individual titles as Captain Sahil Amri was awarded Best all rounder of the tournament while vice captain Abdul Bari Ruknuddin secured best catcher award. While another member Mohamed Abrar was awarded Best Raider award. The management, teachers and staff congratulated the team on the achievement and wished them luck for future assignments.
