ANFA lifts 'Bhatkal Trophy': Imran Lanka hits century

Bhatkal - 09 Feb, 2011: ANFA clinched 'Bhatkal Trophy' by defeating Qurban IX in the final match played here at YMSA grounds, Nawayath colony, Bhatkal. The main highlight of the ANFA inning was the brilliant century by Imran Lanka. Batting first ANFA scored mammoth 219 runs, in reply Qurban were bundled out for just 115 runs. The winner ANFA received cash prize of Rs 14,040/- and trophy while the runner-up got cash prize of 8,080/- and trophy. The Best All-rounder award went to Qurban's Wasiullah while Best Bowler and Main of the Series award went in to ANFA's Murtaza Barmawar and Imran Lanka respectively. Shaheen Murdeshwar adjudged Best Disciplined Team. It may be noted the the tournament was organized by YMSA and 26 teams from Bhatkal taluk including Murdeshwar have participated.

On this occasion Moulana Ansar Madani, Mr Imtiyaz Udyawar, Mr Iqbal Suhail, Moulvi Imran Akrami, Moulvi Abdul Raqeeb, Moulana Khaleel Rahman Muniri and others were present on the stage.
