Kumta 07 May 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Union minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Anant Kumar Hegde's car met with a minor accident at Yana cross near Katagala village of Kumta taluk this morning, no casualties or injuries were reported in the accident.

Anant Kumar was on his way to Kekkar of Honnavar taluk for Campaigning when the incident took place.

The escort vehicle that was leading Anant Kumar’s car, applied sudden brakes as a car from the opposite direction came towards it, however the speeding Anant’s car rammed into the escort vehicle.

Soon the police personel arranged another vehicle for the minister in which he reached Kekkar for campaigning. Meanwhile, Hegde tweeted that "Just escaped from another incident of a car collision near Kumta, just around 30 mins back. Another fresh lease of life...!!!"

This is his third car accident after the incident in Bengaluru and his car crash with a truck at Hanagal of Haveri.

Anant had alleged the Hanagal incident as an attempt to kill him when he discovered the driver of the truck was a Muslim. However, the case was later closed as just an accident and not a murder attempt, when it came to light that the truck belonged to a BJP leader.
