AMU VC to grace Rabita Award

DUBAI: The much-sought after Rabita Award  where students from Bhatkal community are awarded for academic excellence  is slated for December 28. Lt Gen (Retd) Zameeruddin Shah,  vice-chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU),  has consented to be the chief guest.  Shah was  a member of the Armed Forces Tribunal  and deputy Chief of Army Staff before he was appointed vice-chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University.

Budruddin Ajmal, a Lok Sabha MP from Dhubri, Assam, is another guest who will attend the Rabita Award ceremony.
