AMP Distributes Scholarship of Rs.10 Lac to 100 Students

Mumbai: Association of Muslim Professionals a pan-India social welfare organization distributed the Scholarship of 10 lac rupees to 100 Students of Higher and Technical Education for the 3rd consecutive year. Through the Scholarship project AMP tries to support the financially needy students mostly pursuing professional courses. This year AMP has provided support to 100 Students pursuing mainly Engineering and Medical Education. These Scholarships are distributed to most deserving and meritorious students selected from the applications received across India.
Since the beginning AMP has embarked upon is journey of social and economic empowerment of the community and the society and has given shape to this ambition in many ways and one of the ways being the Scholarship distribution to needy student of the community.
The Scholarship distribution for this year has been completed at a small function held at the All India Muslim OBC office at Agripada, Mumbai which was attended by some well-known personalities from the social circle of Mumbai. Dr. M. A. Patankar (Philanthropist), Principal Suhail Lokhandwala (Ex-MLA), Shabbir Ansari (President, All India Muslim OBC Organization), Javed Parekh (Member, Ajmer Dargah Committee), Sanjay Naik (Vice President, MNS), Nizamuddin Rayeen (President, Mumbai Minority Congress) and Javed Juneja (Prabhag Samiti Adhyaksh, Mumbai Municipal Corporation) were the special guests at this event.
Dr. Patankar said, “This is a very thoughtful project of AMP which can be of great help to needy students. We want more and more people to come forward and work this way constructively in the field of Community service. AMP is a shining example for others to follow.”
Mr. Sanjay Naik, (Vice President of MNS) said that “Most of the Non Muslims in our circle thinks that Muslims are not educated and they don’t care about anything related to educating their children. But today I am amazed to see these students who are taking Higher Education and its also heartening to know about organizations like AMP who are doing so much for creating a educated Muslim Community to serve the Nation.”
Mr. Suhail Lokhandwala, Ex-MLA and head of different social organizations in Mumbai in his presidential speech noted, “AMP has embarked upon a wonderful journey of Community Service. This is a great example in community service which should be replicated by other social welfare organizations as well.
Mr. Nizamuddin Rayeen said, “I have been following AMP very closely and it has been executing very good work and excellent projects since its inception and has been taking the lead in addressing social causes. I am sure that this Scholarship project of AMP will benefit may needy students.”
In his Inaugural Speech, AMP President Aamir Edresy explained all AMP Projects and explained that AMP has a complete list of projects which helps in entire life cycle of a Students life from SDL, Career Counselling Cell, AMP Resource Centre, Mentorship Program, Employability Training Program, Mock Interview Workshops to Job Placement Help to Scholarship Assistance to Student. He further added that “We are planning to expand the Scholarship to 500 Students next year insha Allah and we are also planning to start a project to support School Going Children of Extremely Poor Students”.
The meeting was also attended by Abdul Rahman Ansari, Saeed Khan, Musheer Ansari and several other dignitaries.
