AIR special programme for SSLC students from March 20

MANGALURU: All India Radio, Mangaluru has arranged for a phone in-programme for the benefit of students appearing for SSLC examination and their parents. The programme will be broadcast every day for an hour from 5pm starting March 20 to 28. R Ashok, programme executive, AIR Mangaluru said the programme is aimed at boosting the confidence of students ahead of the crucial examinations and help them clear any doubts regard the examinations. Interested students, parents may call in to the following numbers: 2211391; 2211392 or 2211999. Those calling from outside may prefix the STD code 0824. P I Sreevidya, chief executive officer, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, and Walter H D'Mello, deputy director, department of public instructions will participate in the first episode of the programme that will be aired on March 20 and give information regarding examination paper model and other details. Subject experts will clear doubts regarding the various subjects as mentioned below: Kannada (March 23); English (March 24); Hindi (March 25); Mathematics (March 26); and Social Sciences (March 28). Listeners can tune in to FM 100.3 or 1098kHz on medium wave or 275.5 metres. The SSLC examinations will commence on March 30 and end on April 12. AIR has joined hands with department of public instructions to help the students with their exam preparations. -TOI
