Ahead of counting day, heavy security personnel deployed to guard Uttara Kannada's counting centre in Kumta

Kumta 14 May 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Ahead of the counting day of Karnataka assembly elections on May 15th, the counting centre for the six constituencies of Uttara Kannada District AV Baliga college of Kumta has been put under heavy security, with deployment of police personnel and Border Security Force(BSF).

About 90 BSF personnel, more than 150 police officials have been deployed to ensure the smooth process of counting of votes. While about six CPI, 8 PSI, and 1 DySP will be working here in 3 shifts.
“The basic facilities like bathing, washrooms and etc are being provided at the local educational institutions and a few residents are also helping out, the Election Commission will look after their meals and refreshments” informed the police department.
