Agriculture activity begins as rain delight farmers

Bhatkal - 18 June 2011: With incessant rain from the past one week and ideal weather for famers to lay their crops, agricultural activity begins here in Bhatkal on around 3800 hectares of land. According to the farmers, if the rain continues like this, good crop is expected this year and if the rainfall is very heavy, there is a fear for 4000 families of farmers who heavily depend on good monsoon.
