Aged woman hit by train while crossing tracks, dies

Bhatkal 4 April 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau)An 82-year-old woman died after being hit by a train while crossing the railway track near Hurlisal of Bhatkal Taluka here on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Jattamma Naik, a resident of Hurlisal of Bhatkal. According to the reports victim was crossing the railway tracks on her way to her daughter’s home which was on the other side of the tracks, when the incident took place. The people who noticed the dead body informed the local police about the incident. A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
