"Adopt 'joyful' teaching methods for students" Karwar DDPI advises students of Anjuman College of Education

Bhatkal 25 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal's Anjuman College of Education (ACE) on 25 November, Sunday organised its annual day celebrations at its campus here in Anjumanabad Bhatkal. In the event which was presided over by Anjuman PU College and Degree College's board secretary Mohsin Shabandri, Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Sajid Ahmed Mulla was present as the chief guest of the event while Karwar DDPI, Narayan Govind Nayak was present as the guest of honor. In his address to the students, Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Sajid Ahmed Mulla, urged the budding teachers to step up their game if the want to succeed in the field of teaching, as the technological advancement has led to an revolution where the students are sharper than their teachers, and that the teaching profession these days demands more than just teaching what is in the syllabus. Mulla further added, that there is nothing impossible if a person is dedicated, and dedication is a much needed factor in the teaching profession, as it is one profession that builds all other professions. Karwar DDPI, Narayan Govind Nayak, also addressed the students and advised them work on both their's and the students' writing skills, as it is one skill that define a person's stature, and it is now fading away in the modern students. "Students these days can only write what is there in their syllabus, they can't write one essay of their own, except a few, to gain excellence in the respective fields students should be stressed in improving their writing skills" Nayak added. "Teachers should also adopt new, joyful methods of teaching, and should create an learning environment in the classroom and that the students should not be confined to think and dream less, instead they should be given liberty and freedom to express their ideas and creativity" Nayak further advised the budding teachers. Watch our video report: https://youtu.be/25Ck7TfW_KQ College Principal Dr. Zakiya H Zarzari, while presenting the annual college report informed that the college has once again secured 100% results in the previous semester examination, wherein on full batch has passed the exam with distinction. In the presidential address, Mohsin Shabandri, motivated the future teachers and told them to be passionate about the profession while also keeping oneself up-to-date with modern technologies as the technology is the future of the world. He also advised the students to be careful with what they teach and what information they pass on to their students as teachers. The event began with the recitation of holy Quran, followed by Welcome song and Anjuman Anthem by the students. Prizes for several events and competitions held during the academic year were also distributed among students. A minute silent prayer was also carried out during the event as a mark of respect to the two deceased former ministers of Karnataka Ambareesh and CK Jafer Shareef who passed away on Saturday 24 November and Sunday 25 November respectively.
