Accident on Sarpan Katta National Highway; 2 injured

18th May 13 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal - An accident took place today at 1:30 pm on NH-66 near Sarpan Katta in which a bike hit a woman crossing the road owing to which the rider and the woman both have been injured. According to sources, today afternoon, Savita Gonda, who is a district panchayat member, was crossing the road at Sarpan Katta when a bike rammed into her. As a result, both Savita and the bike rider Shabbir, a resident of Gulmi, have been severely injured. According to locals, after the lady was hit by a bike, a Maruti car also hit her successively. With the help of locals, both were rushed immediately to Government Hopital and Savita Gonda was afterward sent to Manipal as her injuries were more severe. This case has been registered at Bhatkal Rural Police Station and investigations are going on.
